Who we are
The most inclusive surf gang to hit Australia’s east coastline. Groove Girls is an all-female surf group based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Stephanie Teixeira, the founder of Groove Girls says, “We’re all about challenging gender stereotypes, facing our fears and creating a safe environment for women to come together and have some fun”.
We’re here to inspire women of all walks of life, embracing our differences in and out of the water. We invite you all to come surf, paddle, watch or simply have a laugh with us. It doesn’t matter what age you are, what your skill level is, we want everyone to come along! It takes some guts to get on a board, but Groove Girls tears down that intimidation barrier that’s stopping you from getting in the water. We welcome all abilities, all ages, all colours & all boards.
It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or have been surfing for a while. All the girls in our group are super encouraging, making you feel welcomed in our supportive surf environment. The only way to improve is if you leave those worries behind and get in the water. So, let’s get it girls.
