Bullet Train & Bus – Alternatively, you can take Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo or Ueno Station to Nagano, followed by a bus transfer to Hakuba.
We're more than happy to help you choose the best transport option to suit your travel plans.
Our accommodation provides complimentary pick-up and drop-off transfers between JR Hakuba Station or Happo Bus Terminal and our lodge.

Schedule
We’ll arrive in Hakuba on 22nd February, with the adventure kicking off the following morning.
Guests requiring lessons will complete their two full-day lessons on 23rd & 24th of February at Goryu/Iimori. For the remaining three days, we’ll explore a variety of resorts across Hakuba Valley, with the exact destinations chosen based on snow conditions, weather and the group’s levels to ensure the best possible experience.
A detailed trip itinerary, including meeting times, shuttle schedules and daily plans, will be sent to all guests approximately two weeks before departure.

However, the dining area is equipped with a microwave, hot water and toaster for guests to use throughout the stay if needed.

Hosted Sessions
Each day our hosts will be there to show you around the mountains of Hakuba fostering a safe and supportive environment. Please note that our hosted sessions are not lessons, rather a time where the group can ride together, receive general support & have an amazing time with each other on the slopes. The camaraderie & encouragement during these sessions is the most special part of riding together.
Travel Insurance
It is a requirement that each guest takes out their own comprehensive travel insurance that covers for snow sports. If you would like to ride off-piste or in the terrain park during our time in Hakuba it is a requirement this is also included in your comprehensive travel insurance policy. We require proof of insurance 30 days prior to the start of the trip.
Itinerary
An in-depth itinerary will be provided closer to the dates. Our first ski/snowboard day will be 23rd of February.
Meet your host
Hi, I’m Steph! An Aussie surfer and snowboarder that loves to empower women with everything I do. I spent the 23/24 & 24/25 northern hemisphere winters exploring the slopes of Whistler, working on my own riding skills and hosting community snow events. Whilst in Canada I gained my CASI Level 2 & Park 1 snowboard instructor certificates & was working as a snowboard instructor during the 2025 season. There's nothing I love more than allowing others to experience the magic of snow sports. In 2019 I founded Groove Girls as a way to connect women & provide a space of encouragement through our community Group Surfs. Over the past 4 years, I have been hosting Groove Girls Surf Retreats and Snow Trips within Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand & Japan, creating a safe and supportive environment and bringing women together from all over the world. My goal is to help women step outside their comfort zones, believe in themselves, pursue all the things they've always dreamed of doing & have fun whilst doing it!

After this date, refunds will only be considered for medical reasons or genuine emergencies up until 20th November 2026 (excluding deposit).
Within the three months leading up to the trip, we are unable to provide refunds. However, if you are no longer able to attend, we are happy to accept a transfer of your booking to another guest, provided we are notified and the replacement guest meets any trip requirements. Please note that your original deposit will remain non-refundable.
As a small business, cancellations have a significant impact on our ability to cover accommodation, transport, suppliers and operational costs. Based on our previous trip experiences, we have implemented a non-refundable deposit policy from 18th September 2026 to help protect the commitment we make when organising this experience.
We strongly recommend including trip cancellation cover as part of your comprehensive travel insurance policy to provide peace of mind should unexpected circumstances arise.
