We welcome you to join us this July for a 5-night trip that’s focused on getting you confident on the slopes! This trip is suited to all skier and snowboarder abilities, including those who have never seen the snow before through to our advanced riders. There will be 2 lessons for our beginner girlies, group rides with lots of tips and encouragement & loads of opportunities for our advanced riders to improve their park riding & ground-tricks.
There’s no better way to hit the slopes than with a bunch of like-minded, supportive girls, making friends and improving your skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
Unless you’ve been going to the snow from a young age, we understand that getting involved in these sports can be quite daunting and intimidating. Our goal is to gain you confidence in the snow, whilst you hang with the raddest bunch of ladies you could possibly ask for. Facing your fears can be difficult but we will help you the entire way! We invite ALL ABILITIES, COLOURS, SIZES. Participants must be 18+.
This trip is suitable for riders who have never seen the snow before, to our experienced riders that like to hit the park or those double diamond runs.

Already have your own gear/lift pass?
If you already have a season pass, your own gear & don’t need lessons, we are able to deduct these from the final balance. Please notify us of this via email once the deposit has been paid.
Intermediate/advanced skiers & snowboarders
We require that all beginners/lower-intermediate riders participate in the 2 x 2hr Group Lessons. If you can already link S-turns & get down at least a blue-run safely & comfortably you can opt out of the lessons.

Accommodation
We will be staying in shared rooms at Snowy Gums, Perisher. This Chalet is located in the Heart of Smiggin Holes, nestled amongst the snow gums of Perisher Ski Resort & only a two-minute walk to the Smiggins Ski Lifts.
Travel/Flights
We will be departing Canberra Airport in our private transfer bus around 3pm on the 7th of July & arriving in Perisher around 7pm. We will be checking out of our accommodation on the 12th of July and will be traveling back to Canberra (approx. 2.5hrs) around mid-morning. Please make sure to book either an afternoon flight (3pm onwards) on the 12th of July or the next day. We will not be able to assist you in getting from Perisher to Canberra if your flight is booked on the morning of 12th of July. Please note, we are not responsible for organising accommodation if you wish to stay in Canberra on the 23rd of July
Food
Hot breakfast is included daily, as well as 2 x group dinners. You will only need to buy lunch for yourself for our 4 days on the mountain, as well as 3 x dinners. There is a restaurant in our chalet, as well as a pub nearby.
Itinerary
An in-depth itinerary will be provided closer to the dates. Our first ski/snowboard day will be Tuesday the 8th of July.
Snowboarding/Ski Ability
ALL abilities are welcome, from complete beginner to advanced riders.
On Mountain Guiding
We offer 2-3hr daily guided sessions each day. This will be a safe space for us to show you around the mountain whilst providing heaps of tips & encouragement to improve your riding.
Travel Insurance
We require that you purchase your own insurance to join our snow trip. Flip Insurance does one-off ski/snowboard cover for $25/week. All information is here https://www.getflip.com.au/skiing. We will require proof of insurance 30 days prior to the start of the trip. If you are using your own insurance please ensure it covers you for ski/snowboarding. We will require proof of insurance 30 days prior to the start of the trip.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Upon booking, we require a $500 initial deposit to secure your booking. We require that the remaining balance is paid before the 7th of June. We will contact you via email to complete the outstanding balance. Please expect emails a few days after the deposit has been paid. If you would like to request a payment plan, once you’ve paid your deposit please email us at groovegirls@outlook.com.
Please note deposits are only refundable up until 07/06/24 & only in the case of a medical reason or emergency. If you fail to complete your outstanding payment or have not already requested a payment plan by 07/06/24 we will assume that you are no longer joining us, your spot will be listed back on our website & your deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your trip for a medical reason or emergency we will offer a full refund up until 07/06/24. Within the 4 weeks leading up to the trip, we will not be able to issue a refund. However, we will accept the ticket being sold to another person during this time. Please inform us of any changes. We strongly advise taking out booking cancellation insurance to protect you from unforeseen circumstances out of your control that may lead to a cancellation and a loss of investment.
