We invite you to come join us on our very first International Snow Trip in what better place than Queenstown, New Zealand! Picture 7 nights away snowboarding in one of the most picturesque landscapes whilst improving your skills, making friends and being surrounded by supportive women. Not to mention, Queenstown is renowned for its epic restaurants, bars & après ski atmosphere. The terrain at both Coronet Peak & The Remarkables are suited for all skier and snowboarder abilities, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. There’s no better place to hit the slopes and enjoy the epic nightlife than Queenstown!

Unless you’ve been going to the snow from a young age, we understand that getting involved in these sports can be quite daunting and intimidating. Our goal is to gain you confidence in the snow, whilst you hang with the raddest bunch of ladies you could possibly ask for. Facing your fears can be difficult but we will help you the entire way! We invite ALL ABILITIES, COLOURS, SIZES. Participants must be 18+.

This trip is suitable for riders who have never seen the snow before, to our experienced riders that like to hit the park or those double diamond runs.

• 7-nights Accommodation at Nomads Queenstown Hostel in Multi Share Rooms.

• 5-day NZSki Superpass for Coronet Peak & The Remarkables.

• Ski Schedule: 2 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on. (OFF DAY: option to add extra day lift pass & bus transfers at additional cost).

• 5-day Bus Transfers from Queenstown to the chosen snow field.

• 5-day Snowboard or Ski Hire including Helmets & Wrist Guards.

• Daily Guided Riding Sessions with heaps of tips, support & encouragement. 

• 1 to 3 Guide Ratio - meaning lots of one on one time.

Mandatory to add for beginners/lower intermediate riders: 2 x Full Day Lessons (12th & 13th) $320.

Option to exclude for intermediate/advanced riders: NO Lessons or 1 x Full Day Lesson (12th Sept) $160

ONLY exclude lessons if you already know how to link S-turns and can get down the mountain comfortably.

Already have your own gear/lift pass?

If you already have your own gear and/or lift pass we are able to deduct this off the total price. Please notify us of this via email once the deposit has been paid. 

Intermediate/advanced skiers & snowboarders

We require that all beginners/lower-intermediate riders participate in the 2 x full-day lessons. If you can already link S-turns & get down the mountain safely & comfortably you can opt out of one or both of the lessons. Please make sure to select below how many lessons you require. Please keep in mind this is an additional cost - but mandatory for beginners/lower-intermediate riders. We only require payment for the lessons once your invoice is due.

Accommodation

We will be staying in shared Dorm Rooms at Nomads Queenstown Hostel. This hostel is located right in the heart of Queenstown, surrounded by the best food, bars, nightlife, and gorgeous views of Lake Wakatipu & the alpine region. Nomads has a fully equipped modern kitchen, a cinema, amazing lounge with fire place and pool table, a sauna, internet access with WiFi throughout, a travel desk and ski storage.

Flights

Fly into Queenstown, New Zealand. Nomads Hostel is a 15-minute drive from the airport. Please know that we are not responsible for your transport to and from the airport. We recommend flying into Queenstown on the morning of the 11th of September & flying out of Queenstown in the afternoon on the 18th of September. We are not responsible for participants’ travel to and from Queenstown.

Food

Queenstown is home to some of the best cafes, restaurants & bars the Southern Hemisphere has to offer. However, if cooking for yourself is more your vibe, Nomads has a fully equipped kitchen that you can use during the entirety of your stay.

Itinerary

An in-depth itinerary will be provided closer to the dates. Our first ski/snowboard day will be Tuesday the 12th of September. 

Day 1 - Participants arrive & check into Nomads (from 2pm onwards)

Day 2 - Full Day Ski/Snowboard Lesson OR Guided Session for those that can already link S-turns.

Day 3 - Full Day Ski/Snowboard Lesson OR Guided Session for those that can already link S-turns.

Day 4 - OFF DAY (with the option to book another activity or an extra ski day at additional cost)

Day 5 - 2-3hr Guided Session 

Day 6 - 2-3hr Guided Session 

Day 7 - 2-3hr Guided Session 

Day 8 - Checkout of Accommodation 

Snowboarding/Ski Ability

ALL abilities are welcome, from complete beginner to advanced riders.

Communication

We require that you have an NZ SIM card or data plan that allows us to stay in contact with you whilst on the trip. 

On Mountain Guiding

We offer 2-3hr daily guided sessions with a ratio to 1 guide to 3 guests. We have both guides that are specific to snowboarding and skiing. 

Travel Insurance

We require all group members to have travel insurance when joining our Snow Trip. We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance at the time of booking, so you are covered against cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or accidents. Click here for an online quote, remembering to include ski/snowboard cover to the quote. If you are using your own insurance please ensure it covers you for ski/snowboarding. We will require proof of insurance 30 days prior to the start of the trip.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Upon booking, we require a $490 initial deposit to secure your booking. You then have the option to pay the full outstanding balance before the 21st of August or request a payment plan by emailing us at groovegirls@outlook.com. We will contact you via email to complete the outstanding balance. Please expect emails a few days after the deposit has been paid.

Please note deposits are only refundable up until 14/08/23 & only in the case of a medical reason or emergency. If you fail to complete your outstanding payment or have not already requested a payment plan by 21/08/23 we will assume that you are no longer joining us, your spot will be listed back on our website & your deposit will not be refunded.

Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your trip for a medical reason or emergency we will offer a full refund up until 14/08/23. Within the 4 weeks leading up to the trip, we will not be able to issue a refund. However, we will accept the ticket being sold to another person during this time. Please inform us of any changes.
